It’s the first day back to school at Constance Billard high school for girls, and time for Little J to take Blair’s place as Queen B. From what we know about Little J, she may not be reigning in the way Blair would approve. When word gets out that Little J isn’t following her successor’s orders, Blair is all too happy to make a scene. I don’t think Blair would be so quick to dabble in high school nonsense if she wasn’t going through a pretty tough time at NYU. Blair is having a hard time adjusting. Which is just a very simple way of saying, she’s having a hard time scaring people into being her minions. Sorry, B, you should have chosen a University with a higher population of superficial airheads.
In an attempt to bring back the hierarchy at Constance Billard, Blair hosts the Annual Blair Waldorf Sleepover, which is a high school tradition she used to uphold. Chuck finds out by asking if she is participation in a movie screening that everyone on her floor at NYU is attending. She declines, and it is all too plain to see that the reason Blair will not be attending is because she would feel more comfortable around people she can manipulate. Chuck is obviously more in touch with reality and sees what Blair is trying to do. He meets with Little J to try to get Blair back down from the clouds, but Little J declines before Chuck convinces her that deep down she really wants to be Queen. After some convincing, Little J agrees to help.
It’s episodes like this that really make me hate Blair. Here is Chuck, brooding, mysterious, manly and so sure of himself. Then enters Blair who is all too stuck on childish games. Sometimes I forget that Chuck is still technically a teenager, so it only makes sense that his girlfriend, Blair will also act like a teenager. I just feel like Chuck deserves someone more on his level. Someone like me, duh.
